Terms of Service
By ordering from OutlawMusic.ai you agree to the following. Last updated 2026.
AI-assisted production, disclosed
All music here is produced with AI assistance and disclosed per DDEX standards on every release. Stories and lyrics are researched and written by a human; melody, instrumentation, and mastering are AI-assisted. Synthetic vocals never imitate an identifiable artist. See how the ballads are made.
Delivery windows
Custom songs: 5 days (Whistle-Stop), 7 days (Full Saddle), 10 days (Legend), 14 days (Picture Show), starting from the day your story brief is received, not the day you order. Songwriter tiers: 7 days (Songwriter's Cut), 10 days (Songwriter's Release), starting from the day we receive your finished lyrics. Film scoring: 7–10 days for a single cue, 14–21 days for bundles, starting from deposit and receipt of footage.
Licensing
Personal-use rights are included in all custom tiers. Commercial rights require The Legend tier. Sync rights are included in film scoring packages. Exclusive rights are +$995. Details on the licensing page.
Setting your own lyrics to music
On the songwriter tiers you send us finished lyrics and we build the song around them. You must have written those lyrics yourself - we can't set words taken from an existing song, a poem, or a hymn still under copyright, and we can't put new words to an existing melody. On the Songwriter's Release, all rights in the finished recording are assigned to you: release it under your own name, with your own artwork, on any platform. We may suggest small edits for meter, and you always approve them.
Revisions and approvals
Revision rounds per tier are listed on the product pages. A revision covers lyric fixes, tone shifts, factual corrections, and mix notes. A complete change of subject counts as a new order.
Content standards
We write about almost anything true, remembered, imagined or hard-lived. We won't write anything that attacks a group of people, targets a private person, sexualizes a minor, helps somebody break the law, or uses words you didn't write. Our full Content Policy sets out what we will and won't write, how we handle songs about real people, and our right to refuse an order - including after payment and after work has begun. The Content Policy forms part of these Terms, and your order is governed by both. If we refuse an order under it, we cancel and refund you in full.
What you confirm when you order
By placing an order you confirm that: the lyrics, photographs and other materials you send us are your own or licensed to you; any living person named in your song knows about it and does not object; your order does not break our Content Policy; and you have the authority to grant the rights you're granting. If that turns out not to be true, you agree to cover any claim that results. The full wording is in the Content Policy.
Limitation of liability
Liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order. Nothing here waives statutory rights you hold in your jurisdiction.
